Carl Dixon's Excel Universal

Carl Dixon ordered an SD-12 Excel, and is fitting it with a "switchover" mechanism of his own design. When he moves the volume pedal to the left, center or right, the functions of various pedals and knee levers change! His copedent includes just about every change I've ever seen on an E9th/B6th Universal.

LOK = Holds E's to Eb and holds 2nd string to C#

Black notes = Volume pedal is in CENTER position

Red notes = Volume pedal is in RIGHT position (instead of black notes)

Green notes = Volume pedal is in LEFT position (instead of black notes)

Blue E* on LKR only works if LOK is engaged (it pulls the lowered Eb back up to E)

Red E* on LKR only works if LOK is engaged, AND volume pedal is in RIGHT position

* = Compensator to make F#'s in tune when p1 and/or p2 is down

Note: Tune F's on LKR, RKL and RKR2 to an "E" note with LOK engaged
