At the 1995 West Coast Steel Guitar Show

(picture of)
David Wright

Here's a shot of David Wright in the Sierra booth. David played this very white Sierra Gearless steel guitar on stage both days of the show. He's an excellent swing and blues player who makes full use of the chording capabilities of the E9/B6 Universal tuning.

Some traditional players didn't care for the look of this guitar, with its white legs, white rods, even white pedals. It's one of those things that you either like or hate, One thing for sure - the player with one of these will be noticed! This is not an instrument that's easily overlooked.

David is the son of legendary steel builder Chuck Wright. He says that he's a bricklayer by trade, and that he lays better than he plays. I never know whether he's joking or not.
