Bud Carter

Saturday evening, Tom Bradshaw introduced Bud Carter as the man who has contributed more than anyone else to modern steel guitar changer design. Bud is much more humble about his accomplishment, claiming that all he did was modify the Fender 1000 design a bit. Uh-huh, right.

Bud Carter has his own line of steel guitars. Like the man himself, Carter guitars don't exhibit a lot of flash. Bud is also a fine player, by the way. He performed with the band Saturday evening.
